Professional Bio
Professional Bio

The profession of helping those in need called to me in my young teenage years. Leading up to this point, I had worked in unskilled and skilled roles in Melbourne; from restaurants, solicitors, in-home care services for the aged and disabled & a nursing home career.
Further, and what has been instrumental to my work as a mentor and counsellor has been my experience in working within the Melbourne Youth Justice Prison System including working as a youth support worker within the school education environment and a chaplain.
I have volunteered as a telephone operator for The Care Line Team as heard on 89.9 Light FM.
Professional Practice:
I have focused my professional efforts on engaging and empowering youth, as a youth mentor & counsellor I have been able to work alongside those who have experienced:
*Anxiety *Domestic violence * Sexual assault
*Depression * Self-harm *Family changes (e.g. separation/divorce), new step-parents or step-siblings)
*Stress * PTSD * Trauma *Child Protection issues *Anger *Bullying *Relationships & Sex *Grief & loss *Body image
*Alcohol & other drugs.
I have completed my Diploma of Counselling and now focus my attention on an Advanced Diploma of Counselling. Further, I have also engaged in child psychology, strengthening the work that I am currently doing.
I have a current WWCC also.
Registered member of CCAA.
